European Police exposed fake sale of weight loss pill Acomplia on Internet

European police revealed fake sale of weight loss pill acomplia on internet in European countries after conducted a raid on April 24,25 and 26, 2007 which was led by officers from France's Central Brigade for Industrial and Artistic Fraud and the Central Office for the Fight Against Crimes using Technology and Communications.

A U.K citizen was seized in France with a single bottle of fake Acomplia which resulted in the investigation, initiated by the public health department of the Paris public prosecutor's office of this matter before eight months concluded the raids on various internet sites.

The French investigators found that the fake weight loss pill Acomplia which was sold over the internet was produced in unhygienic environments without any medical control.

The names or web addresses are not exposed by the police.

The Eurojust spokesperson said,"The counterfeiting of such weight loss pills constitutes a serious fraud and an important health risks as they are made widely available via the internet to all consumers, including minors."
