Weight Loss Pill Acomplia or Zimulti ?

After the disaster of June 13, 2007, in the meeting of FDA regarding safety data provided from clinical trial of the diet drug , there is a sad news for U.S citizens because now the diet drug acomplia under the new name Zimulti will not be available for them.

FDA will not approve miracle diet drug rimonabant in the United States .The developer of acomplia planned to use the trade name Zimulti for at least anoter two or three years.

In the 38 countries of Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, Mexico and all other countries the diet drug will be continued to sell as Acomplia.

To use name zimulti of acomplia was not the idea of Sanofi but FDA’s decision not allow this name to approve under the name acomplia as they thought acomplia suggest overweight people to “accomplish” their weight loss goal.

This summer citizens of Mexico ,various Caribbean islands or Europe can use weight loss pill Acomplia not zimulti.
